Arsenal just need Vlahovic now to make our summer perfect

Arsenal’s business thus far this summer has them much better off than they were last season. Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, and Jurrien Timber will increase the quality at the Emirates.

More signings are expected after a big exodus of stars who have completed their contracts at the Emirates. Why can’t Arteta obtain his own hitman, a 20-goal striker who can propel his club to the next level, among the other deals to be completed? Jesus certainly cannot be relied on to score on a consistent basis, but he may still play in various positions, such as on the wing. If Arsenal can simply sign someone like Dusan Vlahovic, it will be game over for the rest of the Premier League teams.

The Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic is an ideal candidate to offer Arteta’s side a dominant presence in the final third. His arrival would bring much-needed firepower to their frontlines.

Why the Juventus striker?

1. He has an impressive Goal-Scoring Record and potential.

In Serie A, he has already demonstrated enormous potential and tremendous goal-scoring ability. Last season, though with limited game time, he scored 10 goals in 27 games for Juventus in Serie A, firmly establishing himself as one of Europe’s most promising young forwards Given his poise in front of goal, aerial ability, and ease to hold up play, he is a well-rounded attacker.

2. Fits Arsenal’s Style of Play:

Arsenal’s attacking style revolves around fluid and precise buildup play. Vlahovic’s skill set would complement this perfectly. His technical abilities, clever movement, and link-up play would fit in perfectly with Arsenal’s possession-based approach. The physical presence and ability to occupy defenders of the former Fiorentina player would provide the Gunners with a target man capable of thriving in their attacking style. Last season (in April specifically), Gabriel Jesus failed to step up and instead squandered chances that Arsenal needed to kill off games and beat City to the league title.

3. Long-Term Investment:

The forward is 23 years old; he might be a Gunner for years to come, and his contract could be worth it if there is opportunity for development and progress in his game. Arteta would gain not only from his immediate impact but also from the opportunity to shape him into the world-class striker he envisions for his project.

4. Potential to Thrive in the Premier League:

The name Vlahovic is not unfamiliar to Arsenal fans; scouts identified him as the ideal Aubamayeng replacement during the 2022 winter transfer window. They must have thought he was ready for the PL at that point. Nonetheless, his strong physique, work rate, and tenacity indicate that he possesses the characteristics needed to compete in the English league.

5. Arsenal’s Need for a Central Forward:

Arsenal’s lack of a prolific central forward has been on display in recent seasons, with Gabriel Jesus’ and Eddie Nketiah’s form and consistency varying. The Gunners need a man who can consistently score goals and lead the line with authority. Vlahovic’s ability to perform this role makes him an important target for Arsenal, who want to compete at the highest level in both domestic and European competitions.

Go and get him Mikel!

    1. I rate Dusan Vlahovic high as CF based in his goals scoring abilities when in Florentina. But his goals return last season in Turin isn’t fantastic; Epl is a different kettle of fish. Only Halaand a foreigner has set Epl alive with outrageous goal returns.

      1. The Italian League, although weaker than its historic highs, is renowned for stingy defences.

  1. A good player but we not necessarily need him imo. We already have Havertz for plan b( he’s very good at holding the ball and playing back to the goal-a less clinical Van Persie esque). I would rather give Bolagun a chance to prove his worth ( at least for one full season) in the team than have any other new striker in. There’s something unique about his mentality and the way of his play. Surely this boy is on fire atm and will eagerly show the world his capabilities to be playing in the top team. Better polishing our own top talent than chasing another one.

    1. Yes, Balogun did well last year, but he was outscored by Lacazette, who couldn’t hit a barn door with another barn door when he was playing for us.

Vlahovic is outstanding. And Havertz is not a Plan B because he didn’t work up front for Chelsea, so why use him there again? Our Plan A ATM is for our striker to not score.

      1. Every human being has up and down moments in life. Vlahovic stats was not that impressive last season. Chelsea had their worst season for years but Havertz was one of their best player last season. Chemistry and confidence was lacking between them. I’m pretty sure Havertz will gels quickly with his new teammate because his playing style is more suited with afc. £65m for him is a pretty good deal. Besides, GJ is good enough leading the line because he’s making everyone around him better and orchestrating the attack really well. Nketiah is a decent backup too(he’s quite underrated imho). The most important things are the team keep on scoring, winning and maintaining a high level of spirit. Just give our full support to the team.

      2. Ben, if you check the playing records for Lacazette, you will find he was often benched when in goal scoring form. Also he often had to drop deep to get the ball because of poor service from midfield.

    2. I value Vlahovic and Balogun, at the same category due to the No of goals at their respective leagues, so I am of opinion we should have one of them.
If we sell Balogun, then we get Vlahovic, if we don’t then lets go and remain with Balogun to prove himself in EPL, he is hunger and that’s what we need.

    3. I disagree with you profoundly….This is not kindergarten. We need Vlahovic or Hojlund as in Yesterday….Man City are no pushovers… The rest of Europe are no pushovers. If you want to beat the best, get the best personnel to win…. We need goals…. Lots of goals….

  2. Dusan Vlahovic is a big fast boy. Definitely would fit into the high speed attacking Arsenal do at their best. Surely it would mean Folarin Balogun would have to leave though. Vlahovic is physically in the Haaland mold and would make us more dangerous. Sell Balogun for a good price, then signing Vlahovic would strengthen us a lot, and would certainly make us a bigger threat in the Champion’s League.

  3. Would love him but we are turning into a cheque book club, we have an academy for a reason right?

    1. Have you been watching football? That’s what it is now. You can’t fill your team with academy players. We have ESR and Saka plus a couple of fringe players which is more than some teams but that is the reality. If you want to compete with the best you have to buy the best.

          1. I care about the club building a sustainable model, care to quote our net spend over the past 3-4 years? I’ll wait…..

          1. Our last trophy was with the apparent failure of a squad that MA inherited coached by Emery, strange how everyone wanted so much change if they only cared about trophies fella

            1. @PJSA
maybe you should go and Apply for Arsenal Manager, let see how far you will go..stop this your Mr know it all you are doing here

        1. I do care about the soul of the club but you also have to be a realist. I doesn’t matter if you do it all in one window or over time. If anything, getting in done in one window and then not repeating this kind of action might be good long term. It’s certainly not sustainable.

        2. All I see is a man having a sleepless night praying that Arteta fails to be called a genius @PJ-SA

  4. It’s only arsenal fans who would want to sell a 21 year old player who scored 21 goals for a 23 year old player who scored 10 goals despite the same player rejecting them!if he is the perfect striker why are Juventus willing to sell him?arsenal fans always see the grass as greener on the other side.

  5. Sorry to inform the JustArsenal Vlahovic Fan Club that Arsenal is very unlikely to spend another £60 million this window.
Just let him go to PSG, or even Spurs for all that I care.

  6. Admin Pat. I am still expecting my winning gift from the Dan weekly prediction, Joe Gunner

      1. I’m surprised by some fans comparing Vlahovic to Balogun and Nketiah, they are very far near him in physique, finishing and he’s a real threat to the opposition defense plus high speed and shooting power. I think some should watch his videos and see how good this lad is and stop comparing him with Nketiah, Balogun because of the goals scored last season, Juventus was the problem. If we get Vlahovic then we’ll be a big theat in both EPL and UEFA with the surrounding of our brilliant forwards.

        1. Davie, 👍totally different players as far as speed and physicality are concerned. Vlahovic worries CB’s.

    1. Congratulations @Gunner 👍🍾. Cheers 🍻
The Dan weekly competition was a tough one.

  7. Arsenal’s delay in sealing DRice deal is becoming less exciting. I wonder what the sluggish delay is all about with their lawyers according to daily mail.
It doesn’t look like Edu and Co would sign any other players apart from Timber and Rice. This players should join the team camp in time for proper pre season blending with their team mates.

    1. Gonnaddict, it mustn’t be Vhlahovic it could be Oshimen. But let a prolific striker be brought.

  8. So we go for Vlahovic because he scored 10 goals in 27 games to replace Nketiah who has scored 19 goals in 39 starts? Doesn’t really make sense to me 🤔

    1. Eddie’s full 1st team stats:

Been involved in 131 1st team games
Played 5,593 minutes for the 1st team
      Equivalent of 62 full games
      Scored 32 goal

So overall his goal stats are pretty impressive considering he comes off the bench often, the question is then why hasn’t MA given him a proper run in the team as the main striker? To me Eddie has been mismanaged, either give him a proper run or sell him, with Jesus not being the most prolific it couldn’t hurt to give Eddie a proper shot. Then we know if we keep him or sell him at the end of the season.

  9. I agree with those saying Balogun should be given a chance. He might turn into the new Saka. I don’t think we are under pressure to sell Balogun anyway.

  10. I do not think we will go for a striker this summer.

Jesus may have only hit eleven goals in twenty six games but he lead an attack that scored more goals for Arsenal than in any other premier league season, that figure is far more important than individual tallies.

Until we can find a player who does everything he does plus score more goals then he should stay on that position. All the other attacking players around him are getting goals and I certainly cannot think of anyone better to help Havertz adjust to our side.

    1. Couldn’t agree more Nabilo. I have a theory that Martinelli,Saka and Odegaard wouldn’t have scored the number of goals they did if not for Jesus. It doesn’t matter if Jesus doesn’t get 30 if he makes the forwards around him get 5 more goals each due to his industry and technical ability. I also have a feeling that Havertz will take on some of the responsibilities Jesus had previously – of dropping deep, freeing him to spend more time in and around the box. This will enable Jesus to score more goals. Havertz is also likely to share some of the aerial responsibilities with Jesus, unlike last season when it was just him battling with defenders. The cumulative effect could be having a less knackered Jesus who spends more time in the box.

  11. Like Vlahovic as a Plan-B man in tricky games. But for “perfect” we even need Tchouameni. That would be PERFECT.

  12. Either him or Oshimen! If Arteta doesn’t sign a prolific Striker, I do not think we will achieve our target this coming season.

    1. I agree. There’s also Hojlund. He is also quick and physical. Nketiah does not compare….We might keep him as a Sub….but bottom line: We need a GameChanger of a no 9……

  13. It really does not matter who scores the goals as long as we win matches..From what I have seen of Balogun, there are aspects of his game which are well below the skillset needed at Arsenal, and while he is an able “fox in the box” I do not believe he would meet the demanding requirements needed to be a success in the EPL.I suspect Arteta has similar reservations, hence the apparent decision to sell the player

    1. Your first statement is very important yet most people don’t get it. If Jesus makes the forwards around him score and win matches, then it doesn’t matter if he himself finishes the seson with 15-20 goals. We have had a striker before in Auba who could score more goals yet I would prefer Jesus over him because of his overall contribution. The 25 goal a season striker sounds a lot like mass media regurgita without much substance to it.

  14. If you have been following Arteta and arsenal you would have noticed one thing common in recent signings:
When Arsenal calls, player must show enthusiasm and willingness to join.
We are not signing players who have us as second choice.
If Vlahovic likes he should score 35 goals a season, I don’t want him anywhere close to that dressing room.
He is a mercenary. He pretended to love Juventus and chose them, just one season because things are not going well he wants to leave. I don’t want him personally, but I will respect the manager if he doesn’t share my sentiment.

    1. Let’s don’t pay back. It’s football and enjoyments.
No hate feelings for some one decided on his feelings!
      Let’s go forward Gunners!

    2. Prososcky
Was just poor judgment on Vlohovic part, the system played at Juventus does not his style of play.

The lad now looks a shadow of his self but there is a top player in him, just what the doctor ordered for us.

    3. Prosiscky, I share your concerns about Vlahovic’s attitude; however Arsenal’s deficiencies in attack were in evidence in the inability to beat German second division side Nurnberg FC.

  15. Do we have another £65m for a striker?

If you consider Arsenal will have spent close to £200m already (And yes, some of it will be in installments), I find it hard to envisage Arsenal spending much more. At the same time, I do think we would improve massively if we had an out and out striker of his quality. I just don’t see us spending that much imo.

    1. We have to sell one of ours Like Balogun to accommodate that!
Other wise we are ok with what we have.

  16. Vlohovic is the perfect striker for our needs.

His technical ability, finishing, and potential to be an all round force as a striker make him a borderline, world class player.
He is capable of being one of the best # 9 in world football.
The Serbian has made a massive blunder in choice of clubs and it has resulted in inconsistent performance.

But if that rumor of £70 mill is correct, Arsenal should not hesitate.

  17. The perfect striker!

Just what we need, someone new to make up a hat trick of strikers, none of whom can score 10 goals in a season.

Still it won’t matter since we have built the perfect midfield sieve.

The new Havertz, Rice and Odegaard threesome.

Will Arteta drop Havertz in favor of Partey, I don’t think so.

    1. JW, if Partey doesn’t play in place of Havertz, Arsenal will ship more goals. Your mdfield three would be too lightweight without Thomas Partey partnering Declan Rice.

  18. Vlahovic made it stance very clear the last time that he doesn’t want Arsenal despite Arsenal fighting tooth and nail to get him but at the end of the day, he showed us his back and went to Juventus. Why are we now clamouring for the club to go now and rescue him in that same Juventus now that it’s looking like his career has been stalled there. He’ll only play for Arsenal like a mecinery cos he has no iota of likeness nor passion for the club. Juventus is his love so let him enjoy the moment
